The Immortals is an elite, surreptitious society at Spartan Academy, an all-boys school boarding school in California. The Immortals is the main storyline in season nine of the New Girl, The Immortals.

Description[]

The Immortals are a clandestine society at Spartan Academy. Members are known and nicknamed the name of one of the twelve Greek gods, for the purpose of staying classified; the reason being that the members were given special privileges (such as test answers and servants) that others did not have. Despite being unlawful, the administration was in fact part of it.

When Spartan Academy was demolished (the Immortals in fact being the primary reason why), the Immortals society was terminated.

Initiation[]

Four initiates are given a letter with a lightning bolt on it and are directed to a classroom, where they will be given a clue, which leads to the den of the Immortals. Initiates then choose a name of a Greek god, which they will be known by. The initiates will then go head-to-head, completing Greek mythological and or modernized tasks, such as:

  • "The 12 Labors of Hercules" taskColt Warren completes all twelve labors (though they were changed to adapt to modern circumstances).
  • Uneaten food taskTom Prince completes this task. He was forced to sit at a table with piles of luxurious meals on it, but is not allowed to take a bite from any of it.
  • Find the route task - Colt Warren and Tom Prince were driven off to the forest, where they had to find their way back to the den of the Immortals.
  • Sabotage task - Colt Warren, Tom Prince, Lee Chen and Mark Backbutter all had the duty of salting the football field at Twin Branches High (then Centerscore High).
